Connecting to The Internet of Things
We live in an era of accelerating technical innovation. Just when we’ve grown comfortable using the Internet through our phones, a new wave of sensor-packed gadgets appear. Will these wearables and “Internet of Things” objects become as important to us as smartphones?
Most of today’s smart objects are only connected to limited services on our smartphones or the Internet. This session will discuss what will happen when small networks of objects grow into larger systems where objects communicate with each other, and what types of new experiences we can expect.

James is the co-founder and CEO of Malmö based Topp and will talk about why you won’t use the next big thing and why designers of IoT experiences will need to check their egos at the door, as the most important innovations will be distributed, invisible, and will only be recognized when they don’t work as intended.
