Katherine Cross is a Ph.D student in Sociology and Magnet Presidential Fellow at the City University of New York's Graduate Centre, where she studies virtual societies, focusing on the causes and dynamics of online harassment. Her academic work has appeared in Women's Studies Quarterly, Loading: The Journal of the Canadian Games Studies Association, and First Person Scholar. She is also a cultural critic who covers a range of topics from politics to video games and everything in between. She is a frequent contributor to Bitch Magazine and Feministing, as well as Offworld and Polygon.
