In the Craft of Data session Roger will provide a framework for thinking about how to work with data, including where to focus resources, processes to make data more accessible, tips on exploring data, basic analytic techniques, some pitfalls to avoid, and thoughts on how to communicate with data to get the most from your data resources. Roger will share lessons from the field and from his own work as an analyst.
Roger Magoulas is the research director at O'Reilly Media, leading the team building the analysis infrastructure and providing quantitative and qualitative analysis services, including technology trend analysis, to business decision-makers at O'Reilly and beyond. Roger also chairs O'Reilly's Strata conferences, helping organize the data-oriented content for the four events presented each year.
